SONS OF GOD II

 

In my previous post SONS OF GOD I, we focused on Angels as sons of God. Angels are considered sons in the sense that they owe their existence to God, have a personal and special relationship with God, and definitely possess some key characteristics of God.

A son refers to the identity of a male offspring due to his personal and special relationship with his parent. In this post, we shall be looking at Adam as a son of God.

“The son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan, the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God”.

Luke 3:37-38

ADAM THE SON OF GOD

Adam was the son of God due to his personal and special relationship with God. When God expressed His intention to create man, He was very expressive in the kind of personality He was going to bring out, definitely, it wasn’t going to be as an angel.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and overall the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

 

Genesis 1:26-27

This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

Genesis 5:1-2

So God purposed to create a human being just like Himself. The word human, ‘hu’-‘man’ according to Dr Myles Munroe of blessed memories, is a hybrid word (two words joined together). Humus: earth, clay or sand and Man: spirit. Adam was a HUMUS-MAN, a spirit dwelling in a physical body, heaven in earth vessel.

Adam looked like God, it was God’s idea, he was the son of God with an earthly body to carry out his Papa’s mission on the earth. Children have always been the extensions of their parents; agents of extensions into the future. In other words, parents continue to live on through their children even after their departure from this life. Wherever your child goes, he represents you fully. Adam was an extension of God upon the earth.

‘God was duplicated in man, leaving the man with all divine attributes that would make him operate like the true son of his father. If sons of men are men, then it follows that sons of God are gods. Like, will always beget like’.

Just like mothers bring forth their children into this world, God also brought forth Adam into existence. When he walked through the Garden of Eden, he wasn’t taking those steps as one of the creatures of God, he was evidently the son of God. He carried the authority and power of his father to execute his daddy’s will on earth.

Adam had no iota of doubt whatsoever about his belongingness to Papa God. He carried the DNA of God in him, the all things are possible genes were are work in him. He had no fears, no inferiority, no lack, no limits.

GOD’S MANY CHILDREN

When God brought forth his first son, Adam, He was also equally able to have brought forth every other human being, there’s no impossibility with Him, but He didn’t do that. He had intended for his first born Adam to bring forth the rest of his children and that was part of why He introduced Eve, his wife.

MUTANT CHILDREN

Adam had in him the very genes of God and would transfer this same gene over to the children of God he was to bring forth. Unfortunately, this did not happen. Before he brought forth his first child, he had changed into a mutant.

A mutant is that which becomes different from others of the same kind because of a change in its genetic structure. God’s DNA in Adam became corrupt. There was a dramatic alteration in the structure of the genes of Adam. Don’t forget that Adam was a spirit living in the physical body. There was no great change in his physical structure. Any deficiency that was recorded in his physical structure later was as a result of a defect in his spirit.

ADAM’S CHILDREN

And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth.
Genesis 5:3

Though Adam was made in the image and likeness of God, he lost that, acquired a new one before he started bringing forth children. These children possessed the newly acquired image and likeness which their father acquired from Satan.

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Genesis 6:5-6

As a result, the children Adam brought forth were spiritually dead children of the devil.

Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:14, 17

This is the condition of all human beings: spiritual death. Would you want to be spiritually aligned to God to become his child?

Please pray this prayer out now:

‘Lord Jesus, I come to you today. I am a sinner, I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan, to serve the living God. Today, Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and my Saviour. Thank you for saving me! Now I know, I am born again!’

 If you have prayed this prayer in faith, you are born again, saved, a child of God.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them, that believe on his name

1John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. As simple as it may seem to you, you are saved or born again by this prayer of faith. You have been restored to sonship. Get a bible if you don’t have one yet and start reading it for yourself. May the Holy Spirit also be your guide.
